Southwest Lake

WELCOME TO BIG HOOK WILDERNESS CAMPS’ Fish Factory…

Southwest Lake outpost is set on Big Hook’s second biggest body of water and is second to none as far as sheer numbers of fish are concerned. Guests often report catches in the thousands and some bring counters to prove it. In addition to the crazy fast action, trophy northern and walleye are caught regularly – just be prepared to take a few hundred eating sized fish off the hook before you tie into one. Perch enthusiasts cast to dense schools near several sand beaches while nature lovers and photographers head towards the numberous wild rice paddies in search of grazing Moose. This incredible location offers spectacular sunsets and expansive waters to explore and fish. The fast pace fishing and easy terrain make Southwest a great option for groups traveling with youths. The comfortable, cozy cabin has a newly remodeled kitchen and large porch with all-time views.
